Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Per Diem
Location: Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania
Start Date: 08-16-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 8.5-hour shifts, schedule varies based on facility needs
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care with a focus on safety and dignity
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document responses
- Monitor patient conditions, observe changes, and report to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing principles and best practices
- Medication administration and dosage calculation
- Patient assessment, monitoring, and vital sign measurement
- Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Infection control and safety protocols
- Empathetic communication and patient education
- Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
