Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely administration of medications and treatments
Uphold safety standards and infection control practices to create a secure environment for everyone

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship opportunity
Associate's degree in nursing required

Education

Associate's degree in nursing required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Leadership and team coordination abilities
Commitment to resident dignity, respect, and person-centered care
Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control standards
Ability to coach and educate nursing support staff effectively
