Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Hospital Acute
Location: Frederick, Maryland
Start Date: 05-01-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, one weekend day per month
Hours per Week: 30
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver quality occupational therapy services to patients
- Document patient treatment plans and progress in EMR
- Meet clinical and departmental expectations
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in a positive work environment to promote teamwork and communication
Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland
- Degree from an ACOTE-accredited school
- At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience
- Basic Life Support certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
Education
- Degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Occupational therapy principles and practices
- Patient care and treatment planning
- Documentation and EMR systems
- Time management and flexibility
- Communication and customer service skills
