Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities for patients in the acute care unit
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, and other personal care needs with dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Virginia
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including some weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong empathy and patient-centered approach
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Understanding of infection control practices
