Start Date: 08-15-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 12.5-hour shifts (days and nights vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
- Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Document care accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Virginia
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Previous acute care or hospital experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends
- A compassionate, patient-first approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and techniques
- Vital sign measurement and accurate documentation
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Teamwork and delegation in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy, active listening, and clear communication
- Basic computer and EHR skills
