Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Document care accurately and maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Virginia
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous acute care or hospital experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends
• A compassionate, patient-first approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and techniques
• Vital sign measurement and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Teamwork and delegation in a fast-paced environment
• Empathy, active listening, and clear communication
• Basic computer and EHR skills
