Location: Jackson, Michigan

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week including weekends, nights, and weekdays

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thoracentesis to improve patient breathing
Insert chest tubes and manage post-op care
Place central venous and dialysis catheters with precision
Insert arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
Care for vascular and post-CV surgery patients in CVICU
Assist with CV surgery consults on weekends
Work autonomously while supported by on-site physicians and intensivists

Qualifications

Board Certified through AANP or NCNP
Active Michigan License
ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA
Minimum 3 years of experience
Acute Care trained and certified

Education

Board Certified NP with Acute Care training

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in invasive procedures like chest tube insertions and catheter placements
Proficiency with EPIC documentation system
Strong skills in managing CVICU patients including neuro checks
