Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual who is passionate about utilizing ultrasound technology to contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations: Conduct various ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small parts imaging. Follow established protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained.

Prepare patients and equipment: Explain the procedure to patients, answer their questions, and address any concerns. Position patients appropriately to obtain the best possible images. Set up and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.

Image interpretation and analysis: Analyze ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes, evaluating their quality and identifying any abnormalities or potential areas of concern. Document findings accurately and communicate them to referring physicians.

Collaborate with the healthcare team: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Consult with referring physicians regarding the ultrasound findings and assist in the development of appropriate treatment plans.

Ensure patient safety and comfort: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and following infection control guidelines. Prioritize patient comfort and provide emotional support throughout the procedure.

Maintain records and documentation: Accurately record patient information, examination data, and other pertinent details in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.

Stay updated with industry trends: Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound technology, techniques, and procedures through continuing education and professional development. Apply the latest knowledge and best practices in daily work to enhance patient care.
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
- Minimum 1 years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and utilizing relevant software
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
