Sonographer
Location: Des Moines, IA 50314

Shift: – 13 Weeks 07:00-15:30
Pay/Salary: UPTO $1850 WEEKLY GROSS
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our dynamic medical imaging team. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and assisting in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sonographer who is passionate about patient care and using advanced imaging technology.
Responsibilities:

Ultrasound imaging and examinations: Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies. Use advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal organs and structures. Adhere to established protocols and ensure accurate and comprehensive imaging.

Patient assessment and preparation: Assess patients' medical histories and relevant clinical information to prepare for ultrasound examinations. Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding the examination process, positioning, and any necessary preparations. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Image interpretation and analysis: Analyze ultrasound images and identify normal and abnormal findings. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and develop accurate diagnostic reports. Document all findings and maintain accurate electronic medical records.

Equipment operation and maintenance: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performance. Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with biomedical technicians for repairs and maintenance. Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound technology and recommend upgrades when necessary.

Patient education and support: Communicate examination results to patients in a clear and compassionate manner. Provide explanations and answer any questions patients may have regarding their ultrasound findings. Offer emotional support and address patients' concerns throughout the process.

Quality assurance and safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure patient safety during ultrasound procedures. Participate in quality assurance activities, including image review and analysis, to maintain high standards of imaging accuracy and consistency.

Collaboration and interdisciplinary care: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute valuable insights for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Sonographer, preferably in a hospital or medical imaging center setting
- Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound examinations and using advanced imaging technology
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in specific ultrasound specialties, such as Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Vascular Sonography
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
