Job Type: CONTRACT.

Shift: – 13 week contract  (07:00 – 19:30) every 36hr/week

Pay/Salary:  UPTO $2200 WEEKLY GROSS

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) team. As an RN in Med/Surg Tele, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to patients with diverse medical conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient assessment and monitoring: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical conditions and vital signs, continuously monitoring changes and identifying potential complications. Utilize telemetry technology to track patients' cardiac rhythms and notify the healthcare team of any abnormalities.

2. Medication administration and management: Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to established protocols. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects and promptly report concerns to the healthcare team.

3. Care planning and implementation: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' medical needs and treatment goals. Provide skilled nursing interventions, treatments, and wound care to promote optimal patient outcomes.

4. Patient education and support: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions. Offer emotional support and guide patients through their healthcare journey with compassion and empathy.

5. Safety and infection control: Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff. Implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of infections and complications.

6. Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions. Ensure timely and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

7. Collaborative care and interdisciplinary communication: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. Participate in care conferences and provide valuable insights to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in IA
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN, preferably in a Med/Surg Tele or telemetry unit
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize patient needs effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (RN-BC) or Telemetry Nursing (RN-BC)
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
