Pay/Salary:  UPTO $2200 WEEKLY GROSS

 

Brief Company Intro

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. As an RN in LTC, you will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and comfort of our residents and ensuring their healthcare needs are met with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities:

  1. Resident assessment and care planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status, including physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address residents' unique healthcare requirements.

  2. Medication administration and management: Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to established protocols. Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects and promptly report any concerns to the healthcare team.

  3. Wound care and treatment: Provide specialized wound care and treatments to residents as needed. Monitor wound healing progress and collaborate with wound care specialists when necessary.

  4. Resident advocacy and support: Advocate for residents' rights, preferences, and quality of life. Provide emotional support to residents and their families, fostering a caring and compassionate environment.

  5. Nursing interventions and procedures: Perform various nursing procedures and interventions, such as catheterizations, tracheostomy care, and respiratory treatments. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless and coordinated care delivery.

  6. Safety and infection control: Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff. Implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of infections.

  7. Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting all resident care activities, assessments, and interventions. Ensure timely and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

  8. Collaborative care and interdisciplinary communication: Work closely with licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in IA
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of experience as an RN, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency in geriatric nursing and the unique healthcare needs of LTC residents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care in a dynamic and diverse LTC environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Gerontological Nursing (RN-BC) or Long-Term Care Nursing (RN-BC)
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
