Role Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
Radiology Technician Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and mammograms, as directed by physicians
- Position patients and equipment to obtain the best possible images
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures to alleviate any concerns or fears
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including making necessary adjustments for optimal image quality
- Process and analyze images to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images
- Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures, patient information, and image documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and participate in ongoing education and training
Radiology Technician Requirements
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
- Active certification with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Radiologic Health Branch
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Radiology Technician
- Proficient in operating imaging equipment and related software
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the State of Ohio
- Appropriate national certifications in two modalities required. (Rad and CT)
- Current BLS (AHA)
- One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
Document Requirements
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the State of IA
- Active Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
- Appropriate national certifications in two modalities required. (Rad and CT)
- AHA BLS required
