Position: Payroll Specialist
Type: 6 Week Contract
Shift: Days (Mon – Fri)
Location: Cheyenne, WY 82001
Pay: Upto $20 per hour on W2.
Here Is What You Will Be Doing:
- Processes biweekly payroll in the Hospital’s Human Capital Management system through interfacing timekeeping data as well as manual entry as appropriate. Processes off cycle payroll, corrections, and adjustments.
- Processes all deductions within the Human Capital Management system to include garnishments, payroll deductions, adjustments, cafeteria charges, gift shop charges, loan forgiveness, and PTO cash outs; calculates PTO payout for terminated employees or employees changing to a PRN status. Runs deduction report for 3rd party vendors for payments to be processed by Accounts Payable and outside vendors.
- Maintains the Hospital’s time and attendance system byensuring appropriate information is updated for new-hires and terminated employees, editing job codes, and correcting/adjusting time as appropriate; supports department managers with the functionality within the Hospital’s time and attendance system.
- Submits tax payments for all Federal and State tax agencies for tax calculated/withheld during the biweekly processing; reconciles biweekly payrolls for accurate reporting of wages and taxes for the quarterly/yearly filings for IRS, State Income Tax, Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment.
- Assists with reconciliation of employee W2 information at year-end and creation of final W2 forms by appropriate Federal deadlines.
- Runs payroll reports as requested by Human Resources, Finance and Hospital Managers.
- Supports the Systems technical team with monthly patch updates requiring function testing and possible system changes.
- Keeps current with all internal and external polices and regulations governing payroll.

Here Is What You Will Need:
- High school diploma (or Equivalent Certificate from an accredited program) or higher degree
- Two (2) or more years of payroll experience in a mid to large sized organization
