Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Farmington, CT

Job Type: Contract, 5 months

Shift: 8 Hour AM shift , 40 hrs/week

Pay/Salary:  UPTO $950 WEEKLY GROSS

 

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care by assisting physicians and nurses in the delivery of quality healthcare services.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for examinations
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures
• Assist physicians and nurses with procedures and treatments
• Administer medications as directed by the physician or nurse
• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, including phlebotomy and urinalysis
• Record patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatments, and medications
• Perform administrative duties, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols

 

Requirements:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of medical practices and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology
