Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, makes preparation, operates equipment and assists physicians in performing arteriogram, and other special procedures; performs hemodynamic monitoring and other duties as assigned. Perform radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature to demonstrate vascular patency in a variety of anatomical parts. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Cardiovascular Technologist. Perform examinations on patients of various ages from pediatric to geriatric.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support 
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support 
  • Florida Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Certificate, or Associate Degree


  • Must be able to demonstrate skills in 2 special areas and be able to cover call for those skills
  • Possess skill in 1 or additional areas and be assigned the majority of scheduled hours in that area
  • Successful completion of ARRT examination with a current license to practice radiographic technology

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 267-bed hospital. We are a top-performing quality hospital. We have over 300 of the most respected and qualified physicians in the area. We offer an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and a Cancer Care Center. Our services include open-heart surgery and a wide range of specialties. We give advanced care to critically ill patients. We offer emergency services at our main emergency room (ER). We also have a pediatric ER and two freestanding ERs.   • ARRT registry required
  • Must have 1 year of IR Tech exp
  • Day Shift- **When they are back to fully staffed it will be 4-10 hour shifts 7a-530p.  When someone is on vacation or we are short a team member it will be 5-8 hour shifts 7a-330p.  
**Must take on call
– When they are fully staffed it should be 1/3 of the call-they have a 3 tech, 3 nurse team.   
The call could be 1/2 of the call if we have a vacant position and no traveler covering but that is not expectation all the time.   
  • Pay:  0-1 yr exp:  $29.56; 10 yrs exp:  $36.95; Max:  $44.34
