Role Description

We are looking for a qualified surgical technologist to assist with the operations in our facility. You will be tasked with preparing and sterilizing the operating rooms, as well as the necessary equipment and instruments, prior to any surgical procedure. You will also be charged with preparing the patients for surgery and help provide a great patient experience overall.

Certified Surgical Tech –  12 hour shifts (7a-7:30p) Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY

·        TRAVELER MUST BE NATIONALLY CERTIFIED-DO NOT SUBMIT CANDIDATES WHO ARE NOT PLEASE. 

·        13 week assignment. BLS required.  Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program.  Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists required.

·        Traveler should have previous OR experience, greater than 2 years’ experience preferred.

·        Traveler must have ability to complete Ortho, Ortho Trauma, ENT, GYN, General, Robotics and Urology cases at a minimum. If traveler is only trained in 1 or 2 of these service lines, they would be a good fit for our OR.

·        Traveler should have completed at least 1 previous successful traveler assignment before. New travelers will NOT be considered.

·        Previous Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered. (Contact facility for inquires) Permanent residence of traveler must be at least 60 miles away.
